‘Jamu’ in Balinese simply means ‘medicine’ and there are certainly many health properties to this little wonder juice! In Indonesian their Jamu is used for most health ailments, from healing sports injuries to a kidney cleanser.
It is predominantly made from natural materials, such as roots, bark, flowers, seeds, leaves and fruits and comes in a variety of flavours from anti-inflammatory turmeric to detoxifying lemon.
